I find that there really are no coincidences and love when they occur. Not long ago, I found myself shopping on Etsy.com for the Victorian-style jewelry I love. Edgar Allen Poe popped in my head, so I searched any hand-made jewelry with the EAP theme. Much to my surprise, some very cool pieces appeared and I weeded through finding something that jumped out at me. Jenny's (we'll call her Jenny #1 from here on out) piece stopped me in my tracks because not only did it convey the EAP theme, it was also very unusual. It was a cardigan clip (two pins and a chain to hold your cardigan together), something I'd never seen, and was beautiful, yet haunting at the same time, so of course I snatched it right up! When I received it, I left her positive feedback and wore it proudly. Jenny #1 wrote me soon after thanking me for the feedback and mentioned that she noticed I was a medium. Subsequently, a dialog started. There was another piece of hers that I adored. It was an oracle necklace, but it being right before Christmas, I couldn't justify spending the money. I don't normally do this, but for some reason it came up, so a barter deal was made to do a 1/2 hour reading for her for the necklace. She sent me the awesome necklace, and I conducted her session. Over-the-phone sessions work in the exact same way as in-person ones do, but Jenny #1 was a quiet one. As the spirit people came through and gave their evidence and messages, I passed them along, yet only got a small "yep, makes sense," or "yep," or "not sure" here and there. This continued for the 30 minutes I was on the phone with her, and because of this, I wasn't entirely sure if she was completely happy with her session. I assumed all was well, that she'd check into the "not sure's," left the info with her and went on to my next client. The weird thing was that after her session, I started listening to a workshop given by Bob Olson which I purchased to better enhance my mediumship abilities. I always strive to be as clear as possible, and this workshop was a good reminder for me. One of the messages of this workshop was, "Hey, Ms. or Mr. Medium... get back to just giving what you get and don't interpret the info so much." Okay, okay, I thought, but about 4 days later, I received the letter below at my office. It had been sent to me by Jenny #1's best friend, Jenny #2 who was never mentioned in the session at all. I remember in the reading that I did a lot of interpreting rather than just giving where I should have just given the items. The items made sense, but I could have left out the extra "stuff." The "items" I was given from spirit are all highlighted in yellow, and this letter not only gave me the confirmation that I was indeed receiving important info, it also told me to just give what I get, know that the info is accurate but may need to be discovered, and to keep trusting and plugging along. I know this as a medium after 13 years of experience, but it was a wonderful reminder. Thank you Jenny #2 for writing me and helping me to know that what I do and love dearly works in the way it does and to just give what I get. :) Thank you Jenny #1 for being open to not just your people, but others around you and being the "medium" yourself by passing along the message! Nicely done! See the letter below. PS... Jenny #2's last name was blacked out because she is unfortunately estranged from her family, and she didn't want any more grief in case it was noticed. I don't blame her at all! Jenny #1's name is blacked out because I didn't ask for her permission to use her last name. :) Thank you both Jenny's! UPDATE 1/19/11: Jenny #1 wrote also a blog about her reading experience which you can read HERE! Thanks, Jenny! :) |
